Commemorated May 5, Rama homage at the Martyrs’ Cemetery

Today is May 5, Martyrs’ Day. On this important date for the country, the heads of state paid homage at the Martyrs’ Cemetery to commemorate the martyrs who fell for freedom.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, speaker of parliament Lindita Nikolla and the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj paid tribute together at the “Martyrs Cemetery”, where wreaths were laid.

Even the chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, paid homage to the martyrs of the homeland.

In a statement to the media, Meta said that this day reminds us of the blood that was shed for the liberation of Albania.
