The Commission of Appeals and Sanctions (CAS) has accepted a request made by the Socialist Party, overturning the proposal made by the State Election Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi over the ballot paper.
The Socialists are demanding to have the candidates listed by numbers and not by their names, as had been previously requested by the Democrats.
“The decision will enter into force immediately and it is being published in the official gazette of the Central Election Commission. The decision can be appealed”, said a representative of CAS during today’s meeting.
In case the decision will be appealed, the matter will be taken up by the Electoral College.
