The Ministry of the Interior has opened the competition for the new General Manager of the Guard of the Republic. In a press release, it is announced that interested candidates must submit the application request, as well as the accompanying documentation for the general and special criteria, by June 26, 2024.

To participate in the competition, applicants must make a written request addressed to the Minister of the Interior to express interest in the position and the assessment will be made on the basis of the submitted documents.

The criteria for interested applicants are as follows:

• have only Albanian citizenship;
• have full capacity to act;
• not having received the status of the defendant for committing a criminal offense, or not having taken any measure of personal security against him;
• there should be no conflict of interest in the exercise of the duty;
• not having been dismissed from work previously for disciplinary reasons and not having a disciplinary measure in force at the time of application;
• have at least 10 years of work experience in the field of order or security;
• having completed the second cycle of higher education in the field of order or security;
• not to be convicted by a final court decision for committing a criminal offense;
• be equipped with a certificate of reliability;
• to be in good health and able to perform the task.
