During its meeting this Friday, the Council of Ministers approved several decisions. Among them was the decision concerning the salaries of teaching staff and other non-teaching employees.
The government also approved salary increases for military personnel and the granting of bonuses to employees of the State Police. Meanwhile, Skerdi Tushi has been appointed Director General of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, replacing Insidor Rexhepi, who has been relieved of this position.
The Council of Ministers approved several amendments:
- Decision No. 425, dated June 26, 2024, “On the approval of the structure and salary levels of teaching staff and other non-teaching employees in Educational Institutions and Supplementary Institutions of the Pre-University Education System.” This decision enters into force after publication in the Official Gazette and extends its financial effects starting from January 1, 2026.
- Decision No. 420, dated June 26, 2024, “On salary treatment and additional allowances for active military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania.”
- Decision No. 4, dated January 9, 2025, “On the approval of the values for each component of the gross monthly salary and the determination of criteria and procedures for granting bonuses to State Police employees.”
- A decision on the establishment, organization, and functioning of the Central Inspectorate of Pre-University Education.
- A decision approving the rules for organization, criteria, methods of support, and the amount of financial rewards for young people in the Youth Talent Program.
- A decision on the establishment, maintenance, and operation of the Electronic Register of persons who are prohibited from entering gambling premises, websites, applications, or electronic platforms where gambling activities may take place, according to the licensed category, as well as the rules for submitting, reviewing, approving, canceling, or rejecting requests for such entry bans.
At the same time, the following were approved:
- Mr. Skerdi Tushi is appointed Director General of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption.
- Mr. Insidor Rexhepi, Director General of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, is relieved of his duties.
