Twenty-two people have died from COVID-19 in Kosovo over the past 24 hours. In addition, the health ministry said that 1,894 citizens tested positive.
According to estimates from health authorities, there are currently 27,404 active cases across the country.
Kosovo has recently tried to step up its vaccination drive. On Wednesday, more than 15,800 citizens were injected with the COVID-19 jab.
In total, authorities have administered 841,591 vaccine doses.
On Tuesday, the government increased the number of inspectors tasked with monitoring how COVID-19 preventive measures are being implemented in order to curb the rising infections.
According to a tally kept by health authorities, the official death toll in the country is 2,525.
