COVID-19 continues to take lives at an alarming rate in neighboring Kosovo, where only in the past 24 hours, 24 people have died.
The Ministry of Health also announced that a total of 1.029 new cases were identified, after the results of 13.084 suspected tests came back positive.
In the past 10 days, Kosovo registered 248 victims due to patients developing serious complications due to their COVID-infection. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, a total of 2 709 citizens have died in Kosovo.
The number of people that are actively infected in the country tops 22 000.
Around 3 000 citizens fortunately recovered in the past 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health also announced that since the beginning of the inoculation process in the country, a total of 955 811 doses have been given out, amounting to 329 246 citizens having received both doses of the anti-COVID vaccine.
