Albania recorded 425 new cases, while the case count from the beginning of the pandemic has reached 123,641.
The Ministry of Health appealed to citizens to respect the measures in force, such as wearing a mask in all public areas, including outdoor, and avoid gatherings of more than 10 people.
On Saturday, 1.827 vaccine doses were administered, including to healthcare staff from Kosovo, the only country in the Western Balkans that has not received vaccine supplies to date.
Over the last 24 hours, 550 citizens reportedly recovered from COVID-19, while the overall number has been estimated at nearly 88.900.
Twelve citizens, from the age of 64 to 83 lost the battle to the virus from the past day, taking the official COVID-19 death toll to 2.204.
