Albania recorded 5 victims and 234 new coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours.

Currently, there are 192 patients receiving medical treatment at the hospitals, of whom 16 in the ICU.

Recoveries from the beginning of the pandemic have topped 98.900, however there are still over 27.500 active infections across the country.

The COVID death toll, according to official estimates, stands at 2,326.

In terms of vaccine rollout, Albania has been ahead of other countries in the region. The country has so far administered over 267.500 doses, mainly from Sinovac, Pfizer and BioNTech, AstraZeneca and has also received the first batch of the Russian-made Sputnik V.
