COVID-19: Numbers continue to drop, 9 victims in Albania

During the past 24 hours in our country, 264 new cases with COVID-19 have been registered out of a total of 2092 tests.

The Ministry of Health announced that 9 people, unfortunately, lost their lives because of the virus.

“Confirmed positive cases were identified in the following municipalities:

47 cases in Tirana,  22 in Korça, 20 in Durrs, 18 in Fier, Berat, 14 in Shkoder, 11 in Elbasan, 10 in Gjirokaster, 9 in Kurbin, 8 in Lezha, Malesi e Madhe, Vora,

6 in Kruja, Kukes, Kavaja, Lushnje, Vlora, 5 in Kamez, 4 in Mirdita, Peqin, Kuçova, 3 in Tropoja, Mallakaster, Diber, Bulqiza, Gramsh, Skrapar, 2 in Saranda, 1 in Librazhd, Tepelena, Divjaka, Belsh.

In the last 24 hours, 589 citizens have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries since the onset of the pandemic to 94.431.

The COVID-19 designated hospitals in Tirana as well as three regional hospitals are currently treating 255 patients, 11 of whom in the ICU and 5, intubated” stated the report of the Ministry of Health.
