While new COVID-19 cases in Albania continue to decline, coronavirus is still taking people’s lives. In the past 24 hours in Albania, 37 new cases have been confirmed out of 1862 tests, while 3 fatalities have unfortunately taken place ranging from 51-84 years old.

At the moment, the COVID designated hospitals are treating a total of 85 patients, 10 of whom in the intensive care unit. On the other hand, 1.231 citizens have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries since the onset of the pandemic to 124.312.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection has released an official appeal to citizens to not lower their guards and continue to comply with the anti-COVID measures and restrictions like: wearing the protective mask in every space outside of the home, avoiding large gatherings, exercising social distancing, keeping good personal hygiene and self-isolate in case symptoms related to COVID-19 are noticed.
