In the past 24 hours, n a total of 6527 COVID tests were conducted nationwide, bringing in results that showed an additional 658 citizens having contracted the virus.

Unfortunately, 2 citizens lost their lives due to complications arising from the virus, reports the Ministry of Health, this Saturday.

Currently, there are 5129 actively ill patients, whereas 73 of them are receiving specialized hospital treatment.

August is an open month of vaccination for all citizens over the age of 18, which is why the Ministry of Health is making appeals through its daily notices to have as many citizens vaccinated as soon as possible.

Amongst their recommendations are also keeping good personal hygiene and avoiding large gatherings.
