COVID-19 update: 92 new cases and 1 victim in last 24 hours, in Albania

During the last 24 hours, our country has registered a total of 92 new infections from COVID-19, and one person has unfortunately been reported dead from the coronavirus.

The results of positive cases came after 2,851 tests were conducted during the entire course of the day.

The number of patients that have successfully overcome their battle against the virus remains high as in the last 24 hours, 842 citizens are reported to have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic to 113,468.

The COVID-19 designated hospitals are currently treating a total of 112 patients, 10 of whom in the ICU and 7 intubated.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reminded citizens once again to keep showing extra care and caution in complying with the measures against COVID-19.

The Committee of Experts was also assembled earlier today to define the new measures, for the next couple of weeks. They decided on university students returning back to the auditoriums for consultations and exams only, and the quarantine conditions were also lifted for those coming in from Greece and North Macedonia. The curfew hours remained the same, with the circulation of citizens prohibited starting from 22:00 pm until 06:00 a.m. in the morning.
