8 new confirmed cases have been identified in the past 24 hours in Albania. The Ministry of Health stated that the number of new positive cases has come as a result of a total of 4136 suspected, whereas for days now no fatalities have been reported.

The number of recoveries continues to be lower than new daily cases. In the past 24 hours, 6 patients have overcome the life-threatening virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to over 130 thousand, since the beginning of the pandemic.

A slight increase in the number of patients requiring medical attention due to COVID-19 has also been noticed.

At the moment, 8 patients are admitted in the Infective Hospital and health authorities report that their condition appears stable.

The COVID-19 virus has claimed a total of 2,456 lives since the onset of the pandemic, most of whom exhibiting underlying health conditions.
