The Minister of the Interior, Bledi Cuci, is currently in Brussels on an official visit, where he signed the EU-Albania Anti-Terrorism Plan with the Commissioner for Internal Affairs in the EU, Ylva Johanson.

“This document guarantees comprehensive cooperation with the European Union, and is another significant evidence of the trust built and the work that Albania has done in the prevention and fight against terrorism and violent extremism. We work closely with the European Union for the common security of the union and for preserving the values ​​and fundamental principles of the EU”, says Minister Cuci.

The agreement creates a more solid and aligned legal framework with the EU, but also enables us to improve our capacities to deal with the complexity of security issues related to terrorism. It is fully consistent with our strategic documents in the field of the fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
