Albania is increasingly being coveted by foreign tourists.

According to the Albanian Tourist Union, what attracts foreigners to the country is curiosity and the best offers.

“Besides the desire to discover a new country, the offer is somewhat better than other countries in the region. We have a more delicious cuisine than other countries,” head of tour operators Rrahman Kasa told Euronews Albania.

Hospitality, but also the echo that foreign media have made for Albania, according to Kasa, is another strong point that brings many tourists to the country.

However, he is concerned that the service is not up to par in some cases.

“In general, the service, whether it’s waiters, whether it’s a restaurant, whether it’s sanitary staff… this part of the service fails because we have a lack of qualified or unqualified staff. This will affect the reviews of vacationers who will return with a bad impression of the service, although I hope it won’t happen,” Kasa explained.

According to data from the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), in the first 5 months of 2023 alone, over 2.3 million visitors have entered the country.
