DEA meets with Director General of Police in Tirana

The representative of the  Drug Enforcement Administration DEA, based in Athens, “landed” this Friday in the office of the General Director of the State Police, Ilir Proda.

It should be noted that the focus of the meeting was the strengthening of cooperation in the fight against organized crime and cocaine trafficking.

The DEA Attaché, John Livanis, who was accompanied by the ICITAP Attaché, Richard Deasy, participated in the meeting.

Livanis praised the cooperation so far in efforts against organized crime, emphasizing the willingness of the DEA to further strengthen this cooperation.

Proda stated on the other hand that the State Police will continue to be engaged in joint efforts to address criminal activities in the region.

The meeting was held with the aim of increasing the coordination and cooperation of the police with international agencies in facing the challenges of organized crime.
