Journalist Aleksander Cipa says that Meta and Berisha, with the December 6 protest, aim to prove their political strength and the influence they have on the militants.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Cipa said that both old actors seek to win a final battle like the current one, even though according to him they risk giving away their political profile.

“Meta and Berisha aim to impose themselves as such, not to be ignored. Both veteran political actors seek to win a final battle like the current one. They want to come out as two actors that cannot be ignored from inside and outside, from the international factor. The risk of damaging their profile in relation to the progress of the protest is the highest ever, even compared to the post-communist upheaval,” said Cipa.
