The Border Police of Hani i Hoti detained a citizen declared internationally wanted from Poland, convicted of theft and crimes in the field of narcotics.

The Polish citizen Jan Stanek, 61 years old, was declared internationally wanted, after the judicial authorities in Poland have sentenced him to 4 years and 6 months of imprisonment, for theft and crimes in the field of narcotics.

As a result of the detailed interview and exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and counterparts in Poland, carried out in the framework of the mega-operation “Rule of Law”, for the detention of citizens announced as national or international wanted, the citizen was stopped from entering Albania Polish Jan Stanek, 61 years old.

Proceedings for the extradition of the 61-year-old to Poland continue.
