The Democratic Party has set up a working group to work on documenting electoral violations, both prior to and during election day.
According to the Democrats, there is plenty of evidence to be added to the file that will prove that the alleged manipulations have altered the will of the Albanian people.
The Democrats have deposited 50 lawsuits against several functionaries to SPAK, the institutions holding legal responsibility to probe into electoral offenses.
Meanwhile, hundred other lawsuits have been submitted to regional prosecution offices.
The DP has called on the Central Election Commission to provide them electoral material, including CCTV footage from voting stations, over allegations of countless irregularities during the electoral process.
Depending on the violations, the Democrats are expected to demand “nullification of mandates” in case their allegations are proven.
At the same time, the file containing the alleged electoral offenses will also be submitted to international bodies, such as OSCE/ODIHR.
