A day before the Democratic Party protest in front of the European Parliament, the head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, has announced today that the DP deputies have started their official visit to the European Parliament today.

Through a post on Facebook, Bardhi states that the meetings in the European Parliament with Mr. Sandro Gozi, MEP and General Secretary of the European Democratic Party, and Mrs. Oihane Agirregoitia Martínez, representative of the “Renew Europe” parliamentary group, have started.

“Today we started the meetings in the European Parliament with Mr. Sandro GOZI, MEP and General Secretary of the European Democratic Party, and Mrs. Oihane Agirregoitia Martínez, representative of the “Renew Europe” parliamentary group. Full information on the situation in Albania was the focus of the conversation, with two supporters of Albania’s European future. It is unimaginable for any European friend of Albania to perceive that our country, even though it is a candidate country for the EU, has executed the rule of law, destroyed the balance between powers, and eliminated free elections. Albania is the only country in Europe that, while being governed by indisputable evidence of organized crime, to the point that criminal organizations even dictate the seats of MP candidates on the Socialist Party list, the criminalized power of Edi Rama aims to annihilate the opposition through the political imprisonment of the opposition leadership, bringing us back 34 or more years and seriously questioning democracy”, writes Bardhi in a post on Facebook.
