“We were born in Democracy, we live in dictatorship”. With this slogan, the march of the Youth Forum of the Democratic Party started from the “Student City” towards the prime minister. The head of Democratic Party Sali Berisha was also present. He honored the students of December ’90, while emphasizing that today we live under the conditions of a new dictatorship.
“Today we honor this great event under the conditions of a new dictatorship in which all the powers are in the hands of one man, an anti-Albanian who knows neither code nor morality”, said Berisha.

He said that the democrats are sure of victory in the May 11 elections and according to him, the DP will clean Albania.
After the speeches in the “Student City”, the Youth Forum of the Democratic Party started the march towards the Prime Minister’s Office, to honor the heroic act of the students who ignited the flame of democracy in Albania.
Today, Albania remembers one of the most important events in its history, when the Student Movement that brought democracy to the country started 34 years ago.
On December 8, 1990, a group of students and lecturers of the University of Tirana became the initiators and protagonists of the protests that brought about the fall of the communist system and the birth of democracy.
