After the end of the summer holidays in their homeland, the Albanian migrants who live and work in Greece have currently started to return to the neighboring country. During the morning of Saturday at the Border Station of Kakavija, waiting queues were registered, mainly at the exit from the territory of the Republic of Albania.

In order to avoid long waiting lines at the border, the Border Police in Kakavija has increased the number of counters at the exit of Albanian land to 5. The leaders of the Kakavija police have contacted the Greek side to increase the number of counters leading to three such at the entrance of the Greek land in Kakavija. The outflow at this customs office is expected to continue throughout the following week.

Meanwhile, 3,150 vehicle entries and exits have been registered, where 1,198 are entering and 1,952 are exiting the Republic of Albania.
