The prevention of domestic violence, especially in cases that have a protection order from the court, will now be much more efficient. This is because the link system for electronic surveillance was introduced on Tuesday. The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said that this is a giant step.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, said that this is the most important project within the 16 days of activation against gender-based violence.

On the other hand, the director of the police, Gazmend Hoxha, said that this step offers the police an additional tool in the prevention of domestic violence.

The equipping of the police with links for electronic surveillance is happening 9 years after the adoption of the law on electronic monitoring of persons whose movement is restricted by court decision, which was approved in 2015.
