On Thursdays, ferries on the Durrës-Bari line and vice versa start double sailings to cope with the flow of passengers.
7,000 passengers are expected to arrive on average per day at the largest port in the country.
In order to process passengers and vehicles in record time, the number of counters at the ferry terminal has been significantly increased.
According to data from the Port Authority, during the first 6 months of this year, more than 240,000 passengers traveled through the port of Durrës, while 507,195 tons of goods were transported by sea with trucks and trailers.
During the month of June, the transportation of passengers with the Bari and Ancona ferries increased by 13%, compared to the same period last year.
Statistics show that around 50,000 passengers and 18,670 vehicles were processed in the entry-exit.
