Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu warned of several “uncommon signs” found on some of the samples tested at the Institute of Public Health.
Minister Manastirliu added that the samples were sent to Germany in order to verify whether they match with the Delta strain.
According to the health minister, the most common age group that showed up at vaccination sites are citizens from the age of 70-79 and appealed on citizens to get the COVID-vaccine.
An estimated 1,011,297 vaccine doses have been administered in Albania so far, with the country relying on Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Coronavac, and Sputnik V.
According to data provided by the health ministry, 429,191 citizens have received both vaccine doses.
