Interior Minister Taulant Balla has asked the State Police and other agencies to intensify strikes against criminal groups that distribute narcotics.

According to Balla, hits get more value when it comes to group leaders. He welcomed the recent police operations in the capital and Sarandë.

“State Police is attacking the networks of narcotics distributors, scoring concrete results, such as the recent actions in Tiranë and Sarandë. While I expect more results in the coming days, I reiterate the necessity to go to the “heads” of these criminal groups as soon as possible”, the minister underlines.

On the eve of the start of the new school year, where tomorrow Balla and the Minister of Education Kushi will present a detailed plan to increase security in schools, the Minister of the Interior invited the citizens to help the authorities in this battle against illegality.

“The public and every Albanian family expect the State Police to take more responsibility towards every young man and woman, even teenagers, who today do not know enough about the great risks to their health and families, as they fall into the trap of narcotics. Therefore, the State Police must make the destruction of the networks of narcotics distributors a top priority,” writes Balla.
