Lawyer Idajet Beqiri welcomed the election of Altin Dumani as the new head of SPAK, saying that the 47-year-old was the right choice for the position. 

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Beqiri emphasized that the US was definitely the one leading this process, thus preventing any political interference. 

“It should have been a normal process without noise and uproar, but the fact that politicians tend to stick their noses in SPAK’s business, made those who are the main sponsors of the justice reform, those who are the originators and who have supported this structure since the very beginning, stay on top of things. The US did not allow this process to be manipulated. I appreciate that as I do the selection which I believe was the right one,” said Beqiri.
