The police have identified 2 bus drivers in the port of Durrës who tried to bring valuables into Albania, which are suspected to have benefited from criminal activity.
As a result of the intervention, a quantity of gold and silver jewelry, 2 cell phones and 2 passports were seized.
It is informed that against two citizens with the initials E.N., 34 years old and F.R., 37 years old, the proceeding was started in a state of freedom for both of these citizens, for the criminal offenses “Failure to declare money and valuables at the border” and “Empropriation of money or goods derived from criminal offense or criminal activity”.
Subsequently, as a result of the investigations, the citizen M. T., 59 years old, who was suspected of receiving the jewels in Albania, was identified and declared wanted.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions.
