On Thursday afternoon, the winner of the international competition for the construction of the Durrës stadium was chosen and it is a modern sports complex.

The project presented by the Belgian firm 51N4E has triumphed over two other companies, namely Bjarke Ingels Group from Denmark and MVRDV from the Netherlands.

The area is expected to be transformed. Around the stadium will be cultural centers, hotels, various offices and shopping centers. Not only a soccer field, but also a basketball court, swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor.

“Great gratitude for the jury that we have chosen to continue working on the creation of this project and I am very grateful to them. I feel good knowing that every architectural process is a new relationship”, said the representative of the studio.

Studio 51N4E won the project for the transformation of Skënderbej square a few years ago. On Saturday, it is expected to be chosen the winning project for the stadium in Vlora, while on May 2, it was announced the firm that will build the stadium in Korça.
