Prime Minister Edi Rama held a telephone conversation with his British counterpart Rishi Sunak this Friday.

The news was announced by the British government through an official press release.

The British government states that the two prime ministers discussed the close relationship between the governments, noting the important bilateral cooperation, including trade and investment.

Prime Minister Sunak pointed out the strong progress made through the partnership with the Albanian Ministry of the Interior for migration.

“Both leaders agreed that there is more work to be done to tackle the challenge of illegal migration in Europe and looked forward to discussing this further at the meeting of the European Political Community in the United Kingdom in July.

They underlined the importance of ensuring stability in the Western Balkans, especially in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo.

Turning to the situation in the Middle East, the leaders discussed the importance of tackling the rise of anti-Semitism across the globe and protecting our shared values ​​of tolerance and respect,” the British government announced.
