Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that the Socialist Party will launch its general election campaign on April 12, with a rally in Skanderbeg Square.

Through a post on his Facebook page, the prime minister connected the date April 12 with the 12 stars of Europe and Albania’s goal to join the EU by 2030.

“April 12, from 12 districts, around the 12 stars of Europe, at 12:00, our big political family gathers in Skanderbeg Square for the festive event Albania 2030 in the EU,” Rama wrote.

Meanwhile, the Democrats have chosen to open their campaign on April 11 with a rally in “Mother Teresa” Square at 7:00 p.m.
