Albania recorded eight deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the official toll to 2,235.

In its daily brief, the ministry of health confirmed that 434 citizens were diagnosed as positive to the virus while so far Albania counts 125,157 cases.

In hospitals there are 271 patients receiving specialized treatment, of which 9 in the ICU, marking a significant drop in severe cases from the past weeks.

Health authorities appealed to citizens to respect the measures, such as wearing a mask in all public spaces and avoiding gatherings of more than 10 people.
