Central Election Commission has given the mandate to the mayors of some of the largest municipalities in the country this Friday, after the local elections that were held on May 14.

CEC informs that the mandate has been officially given to Erion Veliaj for the Municipality of Tirana, Emirjano Sakos for the Municipality of Durrës, Pjerin Ndreut for Lezhë, Sotiraq Filos for Korçë and Ermal Dredhës for Vlorë.

CEC INFORMED:

1. Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, proposed by the electoral entity “Socialist Party of Albania”
2. Mayor of Durrës, Emiriana Sako, proposed by the electoral entity “Socialist Party of Albania”
3. Draft decision “On granting the mandate of the Mayor of Lezhë, Pjerin Ndreu, proposed by the electoral entity “Socialist Party of Albania”
4. Mayor of Korça Municipality, Sotiraq Filo, proposed by the electoral entity “Socialist Party of Albania”
5. Draft decision “On granting the mandate of the Mayor of Vlorë, Ermal Dredha, proposed by the electoral entity “Socialist Party of Albania”
6. Mayor of Krujë, Artur Bushi, proposed by the electoral entity “Socialist Party of Albania”
7. The Durrës Municipality Council, for the elections for local government bodies on May 14, 2023.
