During the meeting of the Demcratic Party’s leadership, the Secretary General of DP, Gazment Bardhi has proposed that the elections for the new Chair of the party be held on June 13th.
This means that we shall see a cutback on the electoral process within the largest opposition party in the country, as Lulzim Basha’s mandate was meant to end on July 22nd
The proposal foresees that until May 23rd, will be the process of candidature acceptances for the new Chair whereas the period from May 24th to June 11th will be allotted to the campaign.
The Electoral Commission of DP will include Belind Kelliçi, Albana Vokshi, Enno Bozdo, Mimoza Hasekiu, Gjok Vuksani, Bert Avdyli dhe Jemin Gjana, who will be the commission’s leader.
The decision for this proposal is expected to be voted in during the meeting of DP’s National Council that started at 19:00 p.m.
Apart from the election of the new leader of the party, Bardhi has proposed that an analysis of the results of the parliamentary elections of April 25th should also conducted, where during a special meeting of the party’s Leadership, everyone’s role and work can undergo a detailed screening process, which should then be followed by an analysis and assessment of every ballot centre.
