The Central Electoral Commission has started to process the certification of political subjects and their candidates regarding their participation in the local elections of October 17th 2021.
This institution made the decision on Thursday to certify a total of 48 political subjects, out of which 18 political parties, 1 coalition, 17 civil initiatives and 12 independent candidates.
The general number of certified candidates that represent these political subject is around 550 candidates.
In addition, CEC made the decision to not certify 2 independent candidates for their participation in the elections for Communal Parliaments, because they are not in compliance with article 29 of the law on the general elections.
According to CEC, the certification of candidates and other political subjects will continue in the next meeting.
