Electoral College approves legal deadlines for the elections in Himara

The Electoral College approved on Wednesday the legal deadlines for the administrative procedures of the local elections in Himara, after the complaint made by the Socialist Party about the lack of decision-making by the regulatory commission of the CEC last week.

The election campaign for the partial elections for Mayor in Himar Municipality on August 4 begins on July 27.

“Electoral coalitions must submit to the CEC the request for registration as a coalition for the partial elections for mayor in Himara Municipality no later than 12:00 on 24.7.2024. The CEC returns the documentation for completion within 2 (two) hours of delivery. Political parties submit the corrected documentation by 18.00 on 24.7.2024. The State Commissioner of Elections approves the registration requests within 3 (three) hours from the resending of the documentation.

The candidacy documents must be submitted to the CEAZ no later than 4:00 p.m. on 25.7.2024. The CEAZ verifies them, no later than 4 (four) hours from submission, and in case it notices irregularities, returns them for completion. Completed documents must be resubmitted no later than 12.00 on 26.7.2024. The CEAZ makes a decision no later than 4 (four) hours after their re-presentation.

The election campaign for the partial elections for Mayor in Himara Municipality begins on 27.7.2024”, are some of the deadlines approved by the college.
