The Electoral College refuted the request of the Democratic Party to gather additional evidence on the Berat county.
The decision was taken during today’s meeting.
The opposition had called on the Electoral College to overturn the ruling of the Commission for Appeals and Sanctions (CAS) and announce that the elections were invalid in Berat, in order to have a revote.
According to the agenda, the College will also review Durres, Shkodra, Tirana, and Korça.
On May 21, after having recounted 114 ballot boxes in Berat the difference between the SP and SMI narrowed even further, going from 77 to 58.
Earlier on, CAS rejected the opposition’s claim to repeat voting in Berat.
