At OSHEE counters, electricity bills can now also be paid using a bank card. This alternative method is being introduced first in Tirana and will later be expanded to other cities.
Starting from October 1st, electricity bills can be paid by bank card at OSHEE service points.
The service is part of a process to replace cash payments at counters and comes with no additional cost. The step aims to improve customer service by offering a faster, safer, and more convenient way to settle monthly bills.
The pilot project is currently being implemented in Tirana, where service counters have been equipped with POS terminals that accept cards from any bank.
This initiative is expected to significantly ease payments by reducing queues and reliance on cash. However, the real challenge will be its implementation in other cities and ensuring the service remains accessible and functional for everyone.
Meanwhile, monthly bill payments remain valid through digital channels such as e-Albania or the OSHEE app, which offer 24/7 payment options.
