Elbasan will be one of the municipalities in which the process of voting and counting votes in the local elections on May 14 will be conducted electronically.

According to two political opponents in this district, the mayor who is re-candidating again, Gledian Llatja, and the DP candidate, Bledi Himci, this way leaves no room for manipulation.

“Undoubtedly, the democratic party has been asking for electronic voting for a long, long time. At least it would avoid vote manipulation in the counting process,” said Himci.

“Absolutely which is a very good thing, very good because the result comes out very quickly, there is a reliability, the technology has advanced a lot. It is a proven technology that has brought reliability to all parties in all the countries it has been applied to,” said Llatja.

What is seen with suspicion is the use of technology by voters who lack information in this area.
