England’s coach, Thomas Tuchel, praised the Albanian national team after the match played in Tirana, where the English side won 0–2 thanks to two goals from Harry Kane. He stated that the encounter had been complicated and far from easy, just as they had anticipated beforehand.
“Albania is a solid team. They have conceded only five goals, four of which were against us. They have a modern stadium, a quality group of players, and a very good coach. The team has made progress and has the potential to achieve more,” Tuchel said.
He added that he was pleased his team kept a clean sheet: “I’m very happy that we didn’t concede any goals. Why not, we may meet again in the World Cup—Albania has the chances and the quality to qualify. The first goal was decisive, it gave us a big advantage and afterward we controlled the match until the end.”
