After his tour of visits to Albania and Serbia, President Erdoğan answered journalists’ questions on the plane, while returning to Turkey.
He described the visit to Albania as a confirmation of the steadfast friendship between the two countries, while he emphasized the opening of the Namazgja mosque, which will serve 8,000 believers in Tirana, as quite important.
In the interview with the Turkish media, Erdogan stated that he has exchanged ideas with Prime Minister Edi Rama about the latest developments in the Balkans and global issues, and especially about the war in the Middle East.
“We conveyed to our brothers in Albania, the greetings of our beloved nation and their relatives in Turkey”, declared President Erdogan, adding that during the meetings in Albania, the determination to fight together against terrorist organizations was emphasized.
While regarding his visit to Belgrade, where the fourth meeting of the High Level Cooperation Council was held, Erdogan said that 11 agreements were signed and the common goal of increasing trade exchanges between the two countries was emphasized.
The Turkish president announced that during the meetings in Serbia, he emphasized that official Ankara will continue to support the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue process, expressing its readiness to contribute to ensuring stability and permanent peace in the Balkans.
