Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described Israel’s war in Gaza as the common shame of all humanity.
In the joint press conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama, Erdogan emphasized that the international community must exert the necessary pressure on Israel, while expressing the belief that Albania will also do its part in this regard.
“The genocide that is taking place in Gaza is the common shame of all people. We as internationals must do our best to secure a permanent ceasefire and put the necessary pressure on Israel. I hope that Albania will do its part in this direction”, said the Turkish president.
He said that the mosque of Namazgja, the largest in the Balkans, will be a gift to the Turkish people for the Albanian sisters and brothers.
“We will open the mosque, which is our gift to our Albanian brothers and sisters, and we thank those who contributed to this process. It is the biggest mosque in the Balkans and it will be the place where the spirit of peace and solidarity will flourish”, said Erdogan.
