The European Union Delegation to Albania announced on Twitter that the EU Commission “disbursed the first €90 million in March” part of the macro-financial assistance package.
The sum has been delivered under the framework of the EU’s support in the social and economic recovery of Albania, amid the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The European Union has also contributed to the supply of COVID-19 vaccines in Albania, as well as the reconstruction process following the destructive quake that struck the country in November 2019.
