The International Monitoring Operation appealed the decision to confirm in duty the General Prosecutor of Tirana Elisabeta Imeraj following problems that arose during her verification at the vetting process.
The head of the EU Mission to Albania, Ambassador Luigi Soreca, wrote on Twitter that he supports IMO’s recommendation.

The US Ambassador to Albania maintained the same stance as she urged for “courage” and “integrity” at the vetting process, in order to “break away from old patterns”.
