The European Union Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, made a statement on X (formerly Twitter), reaffirming the EU’s support for independent justice institutions in Albania.

“Today, I visited the Constitutional Court as a sign of the EU’s support for independent justice institutions in Albania. Not only is the Court the guarantor of the Constitution and the highest authority in the country for protecting individual constitutional rights, but it also plays a crucial role during the negotiation process and in fulfilling the requirements of Chapter 23, which is key to Albania’s EU accession,” Gonzato wrote.
