The European Union is insisting that Kosovo and Serbia are obliged to implement all the points of the agreement for the normalization of relations, together with the annex, otherwise they will face consequences.

Regarding the implementation of this agreement, the EU spokesman, Peter Stano, declared on Tuesday again.

He answered the questions about the statements of the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, who was quoted – by the media in Serbia – that he said that he will implement some parts of the agreement, but he will not accept others.

Vucic has also been quoted as saying that he has clearly expressed his views on non-implementation of some points of the agreement to some European interlocutors.

This statement by the president of Serbia is contrary to the statements of the chief diplomat of the EU, Josep Borell, says that the parties have agreed on all the points of the agreement, and on all the points of the annex for its implementation.

According to Stano, implementation is key for the parties to prove how reliable partners they are for the EU and its member states.

Among other things, he said that the level of implementation will be clearly monitored, and if parts of the Agreement are not implemented, there will be consequences for Serbia’s journey towards the EU, and also financial consequences.
