The delegation of the European Union in Albania has reacted to the event that happened the day before in Shkodra, where judge Tonin Sterkaj was placed a quantity of explosives on the door of the apartment.

Through a post on the official Facebook page, the EU delegation states that it “condemns the attack on the judge and expresses full support to the judges and prosecutors of the judicial system in Albania”.

“We strongly condemn the recent attack on a judge in Albania. The security of judges and prosecutors from threats is essential for the independence of the judiciary and in the fight against corruption and organized crime. The European Union expresses its full support for the judges and prosecutors of the judicial system in Albania”, says the EU response.
