For the second time in its history, Albania has the chance to qualify for a European championship.
The national team needs only 1 point in the last two matches to mathematically secure a ticket to Euro 2024.
The next challenge for the team led by Brazilian coach Sylvinho is against Moldova in Chisinau.
Sylvinho states, “We are aware that we have to play a final [against Moldova], a very decisive and important match. The players also reflect the seriousness, and this is something positive. They are conscious that nothing is finished yet regarding qualification”.
Albania has played 6 matches so far, with 4 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss.
The only defeat came against Poland at the beginning of this journey.
The Albanian national team leads Group E with 13 points, followed by the Czech Republic with 11, Poland with 10, Moldova with 9, and the Faroe Islands with 1 point.
