The journalist of Euronews Albania, Thimi Samarxhiu, together with the operator Olti Allmeta, have returned to Albania, after several days of reporting in Israel, where the war with Hamas is taking place.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, he recounted his war experiences saying that nothing is as it seems or as it is commented.

Samarxhiu said that the streets and houses have been emptied, underlining the fact that for days on end they have not even been able to eat well.

“Nothing is as it seems and as commented. You hear a lot of explosions and it seems like part of life. And this is what the people of Israel say. Residents there say they are used to explosions. These empty houses, empty shops, empty streets. We didn’t eat real food, there were no shops to buy things and water. We passed the time by eating chips and croissants,” he said.

He said, among other things, that you cannot enter Gaza, as it is surrounded, while he said that the humanitarian corridors are inside Gaza.

“While you cannot go to Gaza, it is surrounded. Ashkelon continues to be abandoned, the Mayor has requested that the entire city be evacuated. They say the war will end when Hamas is exterminated. From the Hamas side, they say that no one has left. The humanitarian corridors are inside Gaza, citizens simply change places, they do not leave the Gaza Strip. Hamas is located in the North” – said Samarxhiu.
