Euronews Albania has secured the names of the candidates that the Socialist Party is expected to contest in the municipalities of Saranda and Vlora.

Sources for Euronews confirm that the candidate for Vlora Municipality is expected to be Ermal Dredha. Meanwhile, the SP candidate in Saranda is expected to be Olti Çaçi.

What does this mean that we will not have a re-election of the two socialist mayors who run these municipalities in the south of the country, Dritan Leli for Vlora and Adrian Gurma for Saranda.

During the meeting of the Presidency of the SP held this Thursday, it was decided that the formalization of the names of the candidates who will compete in the local elections on May 14 will be held at the next meeting on March 25.

March 25 turns out to be 2 days before the legal deadline for the registration of candidates in the CEC. In the speech delivered at the end of the Presidency meeting, Rama said that the Socialist Party has ready the team that will compete in the local elections.
